Italy Update: State of Qatar included in Italian White List

After the publication of the Italian Ministerial Decree of 24 October 2014 in the official gazette, the State of Qatar is now included on the Italian White List. This change is effective from 17 November 2014.

From this date, most tax residents of Qatar are eligible for an exemption of 26% substitute tax on Italian bonds subject to Law Decree 239/1996, including all the Italian Yankee Bonds for which Acupay is the Tax Certification Agent.

If your books and records show that you hold Italian debt securities on behalf of tax residents of Qatar, please make sure you follow the relevant procedures to obtain tax relief or forward this message to your omnibus accounts.
